Apple M3 MacBook Air vs M2 MacBook Air: What’s the difference?

Apple recently launched the 13- and 15-inch variants of the MacBook Air powered by the in-house developed M3 chipset. The new models have the same dimensions as the previous ones but pack upgraded hardware and a few nifty upgrades like ray tracing support and faster Wi-Fi.

Before we pit the MacBook Air M2 against the MacBook Air M3, Apple claims that both the 13.6-inch and 15.3-inch models of both the newer and older versions last up to 18 hours on a single charge, support up to 2TB internal storage, and up to 24GB of unified memory. Both models also come with Touch ID.

The MacBook Air M2 and the MacBook Air M3 may be similar when it comes to display, build quality, weight, and other physical attributes, but the main difference lies with the new M3 chipset, which Apple claims is way faster than its predecessor. Here are some differences between the MacBook Air M2 and the MacBook Air M3 that will help you decide if it’s worth spending the extra bucks.
