Apple is finally ditching Touch ID on iPhones with the launch of the iPhone SE 4. Dummy images of the iPhone SE 4 posted on the Chinese social media platform Weibo suggest that the upcoming iPhone SE 4 will come with Face ID and a notch, similar to the iPhone 14, and is expected to be launched by early 2025.
This makes the iPhone SE 3 (review) the last smartphone from Apple to include Touch ID. Unlike the iPhone 15 series, the iPhone SE 4 retains a smaller notch, which was first introduced on the iPhone 13 series, and will have a significantly higher screen-to-body ratio compared to its predecessor.
